des Meilleurs effets spéciaux en maquillage au prestigieux A Night of Horror
International Film Festival (Sydney, Australie, (www.anightofhorror.com).
Le cinéaste Éric Falardeau «En tant que réalisateur, il est important de
s’entourer de gens talentueux afin de mettre en images ce que l’on a en tête. Ce prix est directement destiné au travail colossal
des maquilleurs David Scherer et Rémy Couture. Rémy a fait quelques prothèses
et tous les liquides en pré-production tandis que David a réalisé tous les
maquillages de décomposition et le travail sur le plateau. Ce prix est une
reconnaissance de leur immense talent.»

100 minutes, HD) won the BEST SPECIAL MAKE UP EFFECTS at the A
Night of Horror International Film Festival that took place in Sydney,
Australia (www.anightofhorror.com).
Written and directed by Éric
Falardeau (Crépuscule, Coming Home, Purgatory), Thanatomorphose is a french word
meaning the visible signs of an organism’s decomposition caused by death. One
day, a young and beautiful girl a wakes up and finds her flesh rotting… Thanatomorphose also won the BEST
MOVIE award in 2012 at the XXXI Festival de Cine de Terror de Molins de
Rei in
Spain. It
Director Éric Falardeau : «As the
director, I must surround myself with a team of talented people to achieve what
I have in mind. The real magicians behind the special effects are David Scherer
and Rémy Couture. They did an amazing job on a shoestring budget. Rémy took
care of the liquids (blood, etc.) and some prosthetics while David took care of
all the decomposition effects and on-set work. David Scherer is the new big
name in the field. He is the next Savini or De Rossi. He has that energy and
talent. This award goes to these two amazingly talented artists.»
Thanatomorphose will be release
later in 2013 on DVD in the UK and Australia trough Monster Pictures (www.monsterpictures.com.au) who
