ThanatoFilms, en association avec Les productions Outofnowhere, sont fiers d'annoncer la sélection du court métrage CAM SHOT (Éric Falardeau, super 8mm, noir et blanc, 2008, 4 minutes) au Mascara & Popcorn Festival 2011 (4 au 11 juillet 2011).

Le festival mascara & popcorn est un événement socioculturel voué à la promotion et à la diffusion de cinéastes indépendants et artistes multidisciplinaires.

La projection aura lieu le MERCREDI 6 JUILLET au MAINLINE THEATRE (3997, boul Saint-Laurent (c. Duluth)). Les portes ouvriront à 19h e la projection des courts débutera à 20h. Le coût d'entrée est de 5$.

Il s'agit d'une occasion unique de voir CAM SHOT, car depuis son avant-première en 2008 il n'a jamais été présenté à Montréal. Entre-temps, le film a fait le tour du monde (États-Unis, Angleterre, Canada, Afrique du Sud, Italie). Il a été présenté dans de nombreux festivals dédiés aux arts et à l'érotisme.

Cam Shot est un essai visuel sur l'attrait fétichisant du cinéma (la pellicule, les contrats, l'iconographie, etc.).

ThanatoFilms, in conjunction with Les Productions Outofnowhere, is proud to announce the selection of the short film CAM SHOT (Éric Falardeau, super 8mm, 2008, black and white, 4 minutes) by the Mascara & Popcorn Festival 2011 (July 4th to July 11th 2011).

Mascara & Popcorn is a week-long festival making its debut in July 2011, uniting independent filmmakers and artists alike in the hopes that it will impact communities in a positive and creative way. MASCARA & POPCORN is an indie film festival as well as a unique cultural happening that encourages experimental, thought-provoking, subversive art.

The screening will take place on WEDNESDAY JULY 6 at the MAINLINE THEATRE (3997, boul Saint-Laurent (c. Duluth)). Doors open at 7pm including cocktail. Screening starts at 8pm. Tickets are 5.00$.

This is a unique opportunity to see Cam Shot in Montréal. It will be the first screening of the film in Montréal since its premiere in 2008. Meanwhile, it has been screened all around the world (USA, UK, South Africa, Italy, Canada) as part of numerous erotic arts festivals.

Cam Shot is a fetishist and erotic essay about lighting’s contrasts and the pleasure of viewing.

EXPOZINE, DISTROBOTO et nous

ThanatoFilms, en association avec Les productions Outofnowhere inc., sont fières d'annoncer que les DVD en édition limitée (45 exemplaires par titre) des courts métrages PURGATORY (2006, super 8mm, 16 min.) et CAM SHOT (2008, super 8mm, 4 min.) seront vendus au kiosque du projet DISTROBOTO lors de la prochaine édition de l'EXPOZINE à Montréal, Québec.

Cette célébration culturelle indépendante réunit environs 300 créateurs de la chose imprimée : livres, fanzines, bandes dessinées et ce, en anglais comme en français, pour une des plus grandes foires de Montréal.

EXPOZINE aura lieu samedi et dimanche, 13 et 14 novembre 2010, de 12h à 18h, au 5035, rue Saint-Dominique (Église Saint-Enfant Jésus, entre Laurier et Saint-Joseph, près du métro Laurier). L'entrée est gratuite.

DISTROBOTO est le nom des machines distributrices de cigarettes qui vendent maintenant de l'art et de la culture en forme de petits livres de tous genres, des bandes dessinées, des mini-CD-Rs de film ou de musique, des objets artisanale etc., le tout à seulement 2,00$ chaque!

This incredible event brings together nearly 300 creators of all kinds of publications– from books to zines to graphic novels – in both English and French. In the past nine years, Expozine has become one of North America’s largest small press fairs, attracting thousands of visitors as well as exhibitors from across North America and even Europe!

Expozine, Montreal’s annual small press, comic and zine fair, will take place on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, 2010, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 5035 St-Dominique (Église Saint-Enfant Jésus, Laurier Métro). Free admission.

DISTROBOTO machines are former cigarette machines which no longer sell cigarettes, but instead, sell art in the form of miniature books, crafts, comics, music, film, animation and more!

The X-Fest is a South Africa's film festival. Several feature lenght-films and a block of shorties will be shown between march 5 and march 7.

The screening will be held this friday at 8:30pm at the Labia Theatre (68 Orange Street, Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa). Cam Shot will be the Canadian runner amongst films from South Africa, Germany and many other countries.
